There are so many shots of this moment but I’d never seen this particular one before. The Beatles getting their hair done on the set of A Hard Day’s Night, 12 March 1964.
From left to right: Pattie Boyd (George), Tina Williams (Ringo), Prudence Bury (Paul) and Susan Whitman (John)
Scanned from “The Beatles Film” souvenir magazine (1964).

Photo by Ringo: “This gorgeous girl is Pru Berry. She plays my girlfriend in our movie. Too bad it’s only make believe.”
Interesting that Bury was spelled the way it’s pronounced here. And of course she didn’t actually play his girlfriend. I wonder if there was an earlier draft of the script where she did.
Scanned by Doug Pratt from Ringo’s Photo Album magazine (1964). Posted here with his kind permission.

Hey, thanks for the rescan of Prue with John! Yeah, that's quite an improvement. Prue says thanks for this picture. One of her best friends lived in the Dakota building, and Prue saw John there in the 70's. Her friend's brother-in-law owned a restaurant where Prue often ate. It also was frequented by John and Yoko, and they really liked one of the employees, and they asked if they could hire him away. That fellow is the manager of the farm in upstate NY. - DOuG pRATt

No problem at all. Tell her she’s very welcome. It was a lucky find. Thank YOU for the advice on descreening!

I didn’t know they kept in touch. That’s wonderful to hear, and I love the story of John and Yoko hiring that employee away as well.

I’ll keep my eyes open for any more pictures with Prue in them.

Re-scanned for Doug Pratt who left me a message a few days ago. Thank you for the advice on de-screening. It makes such a difference! This new scan is the descreened version.
The book I got it from was Philip Norman’s Days in the Life: John Lennon Remembered. It was only a small picture, I’m afraid.
Hope this helps!
