Boyfriend magazine, 15 June 1963
“The photo session by Fiona Adams that produced the Beatles’ Twist and Shout EP cover began in Boyfriend magazine’s cramped studio at 21 Kingly Street. The early images were enhanced by producing a colourised version as a centrefold pin-up.”
I’ve seen so many of these colourised pictures give Paul blue eyes, what’s with that?

“This double-sided poster of the Beatles was a graphic triumph on the part of Boyfriend’s art director. Colour was added to the monochrome images from Fiona Adams’ first studio session. On the reverse are two leaping shots, together with head-and-shoulder portraits and a short article about the group, their breakthrough to fame and details of a competition to win a lunch date with them.”
