Prior to the show thousands of fans waited for their idols for ten hours in heavy rain. The group’s black Austin Princess was late, having broken down on the M1. “We were given a tow by the RAC,” explained George. “After repairs we drove to the police headquarters in Birmingham, where they told us to put the hats on.”
